Shubsite’s first line of greeting cards was completed in late November 2002. All of the art and graphic design is by Austin Ackles. As we grow we hope to publish the work of other artists and designers.

Austin Ackles has worked on design and illustration for DKNY, Ralph Lauren, Macy’s and Universal Pictures. Last October his work was shown in the “Kidsart” exhibition at Boston’s Clifford-Smith Gallery. The coffee table book “Unframed: Artists Respond to AIDS” has just been released and includes his work along side Ross Bleckner’s, Jeff Koons’ and Cindy Sherman’s. He has shown paintings at Paul Kasmin Gallery NYC, Baldwin Gallery Aspen and Zeitgeist Nashville. After “24/7″ at Guild Hall Museum in East Hampton, a New York Times reviewer called his work “one of the exhibition’s high points”. Austin’s art and illustrations have appeared in The New York Times, House Beautiful, New YorkNewsday,House and Garden as well as on the covers of The New York Sun, and Interior Design magazine. For 2000-01 he received a fellowship from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation. Over 30 of his art works have been sold to benefit victims of domestic violence, AIDS organizations, arts groups and animal rescue. He is currently designing a corporate report for YSL.

Shubsite is located on recently trendy Clinton street in the lower east side of Manhattan, New York City. Our wonderful neighbors include Tokion Magazine, 71 Clinton Fresh Food, Doug Wright Special Events, WD50, and Daisy Patch. Located about six blocks from the river, we are right at the foot of the Williamsburgh bridge.
